Knowledge transfer in extranets October, 2000

Society members at our October 24 roundtable discussed two kinds of extranet applications -- collaboration/knowledge sharing and e-commerce/customer service. Running throughout the discussion were the issues of security, funding, how to add value, and job roles. Everyone sees opportunities, but there are many things to be resolved before extranets can be anything but superficial.
